TRC Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead daily production operations within a custom manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for overseeing production teams, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality and delivery expectations.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in manufacturing environments, with a focus on continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.

 
 

Key Responsibilities

 
 
  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives
  • Lead and support production and repair teams to ensure operational goals are achieved
  • Drive accountability for performance metrics across manufacturing functions
  • Develop and implement production plans aligned with customer demand and company priorities
  • Optimize utilization of labor, materials, equipment, and manufacturing capacity
  • Collaborate with planning, supply chain, engineering, quality, and NPI teams to maintain efficient production flow
  • Implement standardized work processes, visual management tools, and operational performance dashboards
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Partner with Quality teams to address non-conformances, corrective actions, and root cause analysis
  • Support internal and external audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections
  • Ensure products meet internal specifications, industry standards, and customer expectations
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop manufacturing leadership and production teams
  • Establish performance goals, accountability standards, and development plans
  • Foster a strong safety culture and employee engagement across the organization
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement productivity improvements
  • Prepare and present operational performance reports to leadership
 
 

Qualifications

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations or production management
  • Experience in electronics or electromechanical manufacturing environments
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process optimization and production planning
  • Experience with quality assurance and compliance standards (ISO, IPC, or similar)
  • Ability to interpret engineering BOMs, work orders, and technical documentation
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint) 

 

Preferred

 
 
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, or other industry quality standards
  • Understanding of electronics assembly processes, including PCB manufacturing, SMT, testing, rework, and packaging
  • Strong financial and operational analysis skills including budgeting and cost control
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
